RESEAL UK
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Reseal UK website and the provision of all services supplied by Reseal UK ("Reseal UK", "we", "our", "us").

By using our website, requesting a quotation, booking a service, making payment, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  1. SERVICES

Reseal UK specialises in shower restoration and maintenance services.

Our current service packages include:

RESEAL PACKAGE (£159)
• Removal of existing silicone sealant where reasonably practicable
• Surface preparation
• Installation of new sanitary-grade silicone sealant
• Basic mould treatment where required

REFRESH PACKAGE (£219)
• Everything included in the ReSeal Package
• Deep grout cleaning
• Removal of limescale and surface contamination where applicable
• Cosmetic shower refresh

RESTORE PACKAGE (FROM £349)
• Everything included in the Refresh Package
• Minor grout repairs
• Additional cosmetic restoration works where appropriate

The Restore Package is subject to inspection and suitability assessment. Pricing may vary depending on the condition, size and complexity of the shower area.

  1. QUOTATIONS

All quotations are based on information, descriptions and photographs supplied by the customer.

Where the condition of the shower, enclosure, grout, tiles, sealant, substrate or surrounding area differs materially from the information provided, Reseal UK reserves the right to amend the quotation.

Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  1. SCOPE OF WORKS

Unless expressly agreed in writing, Reseal UK does not provide:

• Full regrouting services
• Tile replacement
• Waterproofing installation or repair
• Plumbing services
• Electrical services
• Leak investigation services
• Structural repairs
• Building repairs
• Shower tray replacement
• Shower enclosure replacement
• Renovation works

Any works outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

  1. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

The customer is responsible for ensuring:

• Safe access to the property
• Safe access to the work area
• Availability of electricity and water where required
• Removal of personal belongings from the work area
• Adequate working space
• Adequate lighting

Reseal UK reserves the right to suspend or postpone works where conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

  1. EXISTING CONDITIONS AND DEFECTS

Reseal UK shall not be responsible for pre-existing defects including but not limited to:

• Loose tiles
• Hollow tiles
• Cracked tiles
• Cracked grout
• Missing grout
• Failed waterproofing systems
• Damp substrates
• Water ingress
• Building movement
• Structural movement
• Defective shower trays
• Defective shower enclosures
• Plumbing defects
• Previous poor workmanship
• Installation defects
• Manufacturing defects

Customers acknowledge that restoration work may reveal previously hidden defects that were not visible prior to commencement of works.

  1. TILE, GROUT AND SUBSTRATE CONDITION

The removal of existing silicone, grout and associated materials may expose previously hidden issues including:

• Loose tiles
• Hollow tiles
• Cracked tiles
• Failed substrates
• Water damage
• Dampness
• Waterproofing failures
• Previous repairs
• Poor installation methods

Reseal UK shall not be liable for pre-existing defects discovered during or after the completion of works.

  1. GROUT CLEANING

The Refresh and Restore Packages include grout cleaning services.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to improve the appearance of grout, Reseal UK does not guarantee:

• Complete stain removal
• Complete mould removal
• Uniform colour restoration
• Restoration to original condition
• Permanent prevention of future staining

Results may vary according to age, condition, porosity and previous treatments.

  1. MINOR GROUT REPAIRS

Minor grout repairs carried out under the Restore Package are cosmetic repairs only.

Such repairs are not intended to rectify:

• Structural movement
• Building settlement
• Failed waterproofing
• Defective substrates
• Incorrect installation
• Ongoing tile movement

Reseal UK makes no guarantee that repaired grout will not crack again where underlying movement or defects exist.

  1. MOULD TREATMENT

Mould treatment is intended to remove visible mould growth where reasonably possible.

Reseal UK does not guarantee permanent mould prevention.

Mould may return due to:

• Poor ventilation
• Condensation
• Excess humidity
• Existing contamination
• Hidden moisture
• Building defects

  1. SILICONE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

Existing silicone will be removed where reasonably practicable.

Customers acknowledge that complete removal of all traces of previous silicone may not always be possible without risking damage to adjacent surfaces.

Minor residues may remain.

  1. COSMETIC RESULTS

Customers acknowledge that restoration services are intended to improve appearance and functionality.

Reseal UK does not guarantee:

• A "new" appearance
• Perfect colour matching
• Uniform grout colour
• Exact silicone colour matching
• Elimination of all cosmetic defects

Minor variations in appearance shall not constitute grounds for complaint.

  1. LEAKS, WATER INGRESS AND INSTALLATION DEFECTS

Whilst Reseal UK aims to improve the watertight integrity of shower areas, we do not guarantee the resolution of all leaks or water ingress issues.

Leaks may originate from causes outside the scope of our services including:

• Failed waterproofing systems
• Plumbing defects
• Defective shower trays
• Defective shower enclosures
• Cracked tiles
• Loose tiles
• Failed substrates
• Building movement
• Structural movement
• Incorrectly installed shower screens
• Incorrectly installed shower enclosures
• Missing sealant behind shower frames
• Missing sealant behind shower screens
• Defective tray-to-wall junctions
• Poor workmanship by previous contractors
• Manufacturer defects
• Hidden defects
• Water ingress originating behind tiled surfaces

Reseal UK shall not be responsible for continuing, recurring or newly discovered leaks where the source of the issue originates outside the scope of works carried out by Reseal UK.

  1. CONCEALED PIPES, CABLES AND SERVICES

Customers acknowledge that plumbing pipework, waste pipes, water pipes, electrical cables, waterproofing systems and other services may be concealed behind tiled surfaces, shower enclosures, walls, floors and substrates.

The location and depth of such concealed services cannot always be determined without invasive investigation, which does not form part of the services provided by Reseal UK.

Whilst Reseal UK exercises reasonable care and skill, we shall not be responsible for damage to concealed services where:

• Their presence was not reasonably apparent
• Their location could not reasonably be identified
• They have been installed unusually close to the tiled surface
• They have been installed contrary to recognised installation practices
• No warning of their location was provided by the customer

Where hidden services, defects or unusual construction methods are discovered, Reseal UK reserves the right to suspend works pending further investigation.

  1. CURING TIMES

Customers must not use the shower or wet area during the curing period advised by Reseal UK.

Failure to follow curing instructions may result in sealant failure and may invalidate the workmanship guarantee.

  1. TWELVE MONTH WORKMANSHIP GUARANTEE

Reseal UK provides a twelve (12) month workmanship guarantee on silicone installation and workmanship carried out directly by Reseal UK.

This guarantee applies solely to defects resulting directly from our workmanship.

The guarantee does not apply to:

• Structural movement
• Building movement
• Waterproofing failures
• Plumbing defects
• Existing leaks
• Installation defects
• Cracked grout
• Tile movement
• Defective shower enclosures
• Defective shower screens
• Missing sealant behind shower frames
• Dampness behind tiled surfaces
• Customer misuse
• Third-party damage
• Failure to follow aftercare instructions
• Normal wear and tear

  1. GUARANTEE CLAIMS

Customers must notify Reseal UK of any alleged workmanship defect within the guarantee period.

Reseal UK reserves the right to:

• Request photographs
• Request additional information
• Inspect the works
• Determine whether the issue falls within the guarantee

  1. REMEDIAL WORKS

Where a workmanship defect is identified, Reseal UK shall be entitled to carry out remedial works at no additional cost.

The customer agrees that Reseal UK shall be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify any alleged workmanship defect before any refund, reimbursement or compensation is considered.

  1. REFUNDS

Refunds are not automatic.

Refunds shall only be considered where:

(a) the issue is determined to be directly attributable to workmanship carried out by Reseal UK;

(b) the issue arises within the twelve-month workmanship guarantee period;

(c) Reseal UK has been given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the works;

(d) Reseal UK has been given a reasonable opportunity to carry out remedial works; and

(e) the remedial works have been unsuccessful.

Where appropriate, Reseal UK may, at its sole discretion, provide:

• Additional remedial works
• A partial refund
• A full refund

  1. PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late payments may be subject to debt recovery action and statutory interest where applicable.

  1. CANCELLATIONS

Reseal UK requests a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

We reserve the right to recover reasonable costs incurred as a result of late cancellations.

  1. PHOTOGRAPHS

Reseal UK may take photographs before, during and after works.

Unless the customer objects in writing before commencement of works, such photographs may be used for:

• Marketing
• Advertising
• Website content
• Social media
• Training purposes

No personal information will be intentionally disclosed.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to the above, Reseal UK's liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the relevant service.

Reseal UK shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses arising from:

• Hidden defects
• Existing defects
• Installation failures
• Waterproofing failures
• Plumbing failures
• Structural issues
• Matters outside the scope of works

  1. WEBSITE USE

All content provided on the Reseal UK website is for general information purposes only.

Whilst we endeavour to keep information accurate and up to date, no guarantee is given regarding completeness, accuracy or availability.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content including text, logos, graphics, photographs and designs remain the property of Reseal UK.

No material may be copied, reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.

  1. PRIVACY

Personal information submitted through the website or quotation process shall be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
